Braith is in love with only one woman but her family forced him to run away with only what he could carry on his motorcycle. He now has a business and a life in Mexico and has not forgotten his Sorcha. Sorcha is in fear of her life from the vampire Tempest who killed both of her parents. To live she must recover the Masti, a magical necklace her father made, and give it to the vampire. The Masti has the power to control all of the wolves in her pack. Braith took it when he left her so she must face a man who deserted her to recover her property.

This story never quite comes together for me. I liked the two main characters Braith and Sorcha. Sorcha's pack thought a human was not good enough for her and threatened both of them so Braith would leave. Sorcha knew nothing of this, just that the man she loved left and with one of her most precious possessions. What I did not get is why she was willing to give something that would literally destroy her and all she loved to the vampire who killed both of her parents? The author describes the two protagonists very well, but most of the others are sketchy and a fuller description would have really added to the story, particularly Tempest and the pack leader Megi. Sorcha herself is a bit of a mystery that is never fully explained. There are some steamy love scenes and exciting action scenes in this story that make it worth a read.
