When Gage decides that although he doesn't appear to be a threat, it is probably best if he removes any chance that Noah can identify him. He arrives at the strange little man's apartment and tells him that as an assassin he is going to kill him. Noah's only questions are can Gage look after the cat and can Noah get a shower? But even with all the his strange ways, there is something about Noah that draws Gage and when he finds he isn't the only person who wants Noah's life, he takes things into his own hands and decides saving the guy is going to be a whole lot more fun.

Noah has a secret and a big one at that. Big enough that the assassin he has gifted his virginity to, runs a mile. With men out to kill him on the orders of his deceitful uncle, Noah knows he will never be free. While he lives, he is a threat to his uncle's power. Not willing to live that life, he returns home to await his fate. Never expecting his fate would be the return of his mate.

The first in Ms. Glenn's assassin's pride series starts with the meeting of two people who couldn't be more different. Showing her expertise in the weaving of stories, Ms. Glenn's work is captivating, her characters are an amazing complex of everyday and extraordinarily special. Noah changes a lot during his story from shy introvert to confident leader, with the help of his mate Gage who gains more from the partnership then he expected possible.
