Lucia is second in charge of the Zurin Five Penitentiary, and is good at her job. She’s been attracted to one of her men for a long time, but she has noticed that there is something not quite right with the way he acts. She has a feeling that he’s taking some thing for the pain he’s supposed to have, and she’s hoping it’s not what she thinks.

Jonathon has been on pain killers that are slightly… Illegal. He’s been hiding it from his supervision and getting them from some of his contacts, but when the prison starts to fall apart he’s in trouble. He’s addicted, and he has no more left to carry him over. Too bad Lucia’s stuck with him.

While there is a lot going on with Catwalk, I couldn’t help but think it was dragging a bit. I think it was because it didn’t have a lot of sexual tension between the two main characters, at least at first. At times it was more like friends going through the problems, more than potential lovers. I still enjoyed the interaction between the two characters; they had a lot of other tensions to deal with. Although Jonathon comes across as somewhat weak at first, you grow too really like him and hope that he makes it through. Lucia is definitely a strong woman who is able to handle just about anything, which is one of my favorite types of female characters. If you like plenty of action and a strong heroine, Catwalk is a story that you shouldn’t miss.
