| This is the story of Connie Kettering and Ray Kale. Mike, Ray's younger brother, and Kresley Hansen, Connie's best friend, had been married a few days earlier. The day after the wedding Connie had given Vince Moore a black eye. She used her fists when she lost her temper. Mike and Ray lived together. Connie had no place to live. Ray suggested she move into the apartment above the garage where his brother Sam used to live. Ray is 34. Connie is 22 and has never had a boyfriend. She was raped when she was 15. Connie and Ray decide to go to the wedding reception together. Connie looked beautiful. Ray was a rodeo star. He was retiring from rodeo and building a new barn. At the reception Connie said, "Now Ray can marry me like he promised." Connie wanted to go to bed with Ray. She'd had a crush on him for 7 years. They made love and the sex was mind-blowing for both of them.
The relationship between Connie and Ray was SO VERY HOT. It fulfilled all of my favorite cowboy fantasies. Connie and Ray had known each other for many years and the familiarity factor made the change in their relationship very endearing. There were a number of supporting characters who greatly contributed to Connie and Ray's story. They are Mike and Kresley Kale, Ray's brother and Connie's best friend, Steve Hansen, Kresley's brother, Zoe and Zandra Boyd, Steve's dates, Jake Harper, the man helping Ray with his new horse breeding and training business, Ridge and Holly Kale, Ray's brother and sister-in-law, Brett and Alicia Kale, another one of Ray's brothers and sister-in-law, Tam, another one of Ray's brothers, and Matt, Kyle, Marc and Tim, Kresley and Steve's brothers. This story is Book 5 in the Cave Creek Cowboy series. This is a wonderfully entertaining series. I recommend the series and this book to everyone.
