| Julia Cameron only trusted two people in her life, and they were gone. It didn't seem real, yet her parents had been killed, and she was the prime suspect. As the billionaire heir of Cameron Motorsports, it is up to Julia to keep the organization running. She wants the case solved, and fast, but she never expected to find her life connecting with the new head of security. Not only is Roane Jameson the new head of security for FASPRO, he comes highly recommended. He finds Julia direct with self-control, yet he is almost mesmerized by her fascinating eyes. At least with eyes like that he should have no problem working with her twenty-four seven. He refuses to allow any attraction to be felt for her, especially after having his heart battered by another woman who took his children. No, he is there to investigate the tough-as-nails, Julia, but the more he is with her, the less he feels she is responsible for her parents death.
Center Ring is a page-turner. I was absorbed with the premise of the storyline. When Roane speaks of his children, it is heartbreaking. His ex-wife reminds me of some women I have met who were downright nasty. I think Julia and Roane are refreshing characters who keep their heart guarded. Once they learned a little more about the other, I kept my fingers crossed that things would work out between them. They needed some good to come into their lives. Sutton Fox has sketched a magnificent tale that kept this reader turning the pages. The story moves at a good pace and Julia is a winner hands down. I enjoyed how the chemistry slowly builds up for Julia and Roane. A passionate story of trusting, and following one's heart, this is a dynamite read.
