He bought a photograph from eBay. She not only sold the work but she took the picture of the chained angel. His name was CMSgt Erik T. Coldane stationed with the Air Force in Iraq. She lived with her brother and, after the death of her sister-in-law, helped Matt raise his two daughters. Gabrielle’s photography studio was attached to her bedroom suite in the back of the house so she had some privacy.

The e-mails quickly became sensual and frequent. To keep from being so vulnerable, she told him she married years ago. She just didn’t tell him she was a widow. She didn’t go into details about her depressive state of living for the past ten years. Erik, known as Cole to his Air Force buddies, believed that they were meant to be together for always. That was probably the sole reason she allowed him to think she was still married.

The writing team of Whiting and Daniels has created a marvelous story for us concerning intense feelings and attraction between two people thousands of miles apart. They fell in love sight unseen except for photos they exchanged. This book had a dip into the BDSM pool. The alpha male was a dominator and was aware of it. The female was submissive but had no idea because her system had been shut down for years.

The couple, through e-mails and phone calls, developed a poignant relationship that was not only forceful but also passionate. It was easy to see their liaison blossom. This became a quick hit to me. I read through the night because I literally could not put it down. The storyline had many surprises and the ending was totally unexpected. There were problems with the main characters, but this writing duo dealt with the waves in the relationship so well.

I highly recommend that you read this book. It is frequently explicit with some amazing sexual encounters—both in person and by phone or computer. It was done well and I believe this team has a big hit on their hands.
