This book is broken down into three stories, one about each girl, Renee, Lacey, and Sherra. I loved how the author began each story with each girl's prospective on the night of the party. Not only did this give us an insight into their personality but also it gave us a little bit more information about that night. I thought the author did an authentic job describing the teenage party. Each story moves swiftly as the romance develops between the characters and the suspense builds as to who is targeting the girls. The characters acted true to their personalities with their dialogue and actions. The sex scenes were explicit, wicked and very emotional with light BDSM, anal and super hot "I can't wait" sensuality. You might think you know who the bad guy is but you will be in for a surprise right up to the end. While this story is definitely an erotic romance it does deal with a harsh subject within our society and the author does a good job of showing the seriousness of the subject without letting the tragedy overshadow the romance. I would have liked a final scene with all three couples together but other than that I highly recommend Chains for your reading pleasure.
