Stephanie Bedwell-Grime has written an engaging novella that in this reviewer's opinion should have been a novel instead. I don't want to give anything away here, but I will admit that I figured out the issue with Michael from the beginning, and I kept waiting for Jasie to figure it out as well. When everything finally becomes clear to her, I felt the story was just beginning, not ending. I wanted to know more about Jasie's discovery and how it had affected her husband. I simply wanted more. Despite that, I enjoyed Ms. Bedwell-Grimes story and read it straight through without stopping. Once I started it, I had to know how it was going to end. In some ways, the ending was a surprise for me (because I wanted and thought there was going to be more), but for the story Ms. Bedwell-Grime was telling, I don't think it could have ended any other way. I recommend this very quick read to anyone who enjoys "marriage on the rocks" stories with a touch of the unusual. You may even find yourself surprised by the ending as well.
