| Charlie Baker is an ex-firefighter recovering from near deadly injuries resulting from a premeditated murder attempt. He quietly sits at the beach contemplating his life when Gregory Anders and his lab puppy Samson, out for a run cause a mild disturbance. After apologizing Gregory senses Charlie could use a friend. Realizing Charlie assumes it's a pick-up situation he quickly reassures him he isn't gay, and a fragile friendship begins. Will the friendship become stronger and turn into something more?
This is the third m/m romance I've read by this author. Even though I'd enjoyed the previous books, I was a bit hesitant in reading The Charlie Factor. With one of the characters previously not gay, I was concerned yet intrigued on how well the author would develop the character and make it believable. I shouldn't have worried as Ms. DeRicci has delivered a well written story. With the power of good storytelling I fell in love with Charlie, Gregory and puppy Samson. The supporting characters also added so much to the story. I recommend reading this wonderful story and getting swept away as I did. If you like heartfelt romance don't miss this one.
