| All her life, Christiana had been in love with Edward. When she was
fourteen years old however, Edward broke her heart by not agreeing to
be her True Mate, to marry her when she was older and to always love
her. Edward wanted to experience the world; he didn't want a younger
friend bothering him. Despite this though, their friendship continues
to thrive, though Christiana has had to hide her feelings from him,
determined never to give him the power to break her heart again.
Ten years later and Christiana is all grown up, a college graduate and still very much in love with Edward. Ever since she was eighteen, Edward has tried to convince her to have a no-strings affair with him, so that they could get each other out of their systems. But Edward knows deep in his hear that Christiana is so much more than a fling. She is his True Mate and now he has to convince her of that fact, starting with pretending to be a pirate at her graduation ball. He's going to seduce Christiana with all the romance and grandeur that she has been dreaming of for so long. He's ready to make his move and nothing is going to stop him from winning the girl of his dreams. Chasing Love was incredibly romantic! Watching Edward and Christiana finally declare their feelings for each other was great. The passion between them was tangible and the reader is just as determined as Edward is in wanting to see Christiana get her happily-ever-after. This is a werewolf genre story, and for a change, Christiana will become the Pack leader, which I found to be highly intriguing. She was definitely a great character; one this reader could easily see leading the Pack. Edward was an equally scintillating hero and his quest to win Christiana proves just how much males get into the chase, as he had a grand time winning Christiana. He was a very fun loving and comedic character. This is a great addition to Lapthorne's Rutledge Werewolves series and the perfect story for all the werewolf aficionados out there.
