Can Eli keep Nikki safe and claim the mate he’s always wanted? Checkmate is an intriguing read and will keep you hooked from page one. Nikki is a courageous woman and her bravery does not go unnoticed. Eli is strong and a complete alpha male in every way. He intends to keep his woman safe from all those who seek to hurt her. I loved the interaction between Nikki and Eli, it is a touchy subject but AnnMarie McKenna handled it with grace and aplomb. Nikki’s protective family makes a perfect addition to the plot and this was a well thought out story with plenty of hooks to draw your attention. Loves scenes had a tenderness that couldn’t be touched and is sure to touch readers. AnnMarie McKenna is sure to gain many more fans with this wonderful story of trust and love.
