Hannah MacKenzie didn’t make it home before her mother died. Another shock she discovered was her mother was carrying a surrogate baby and Hannah had no idea she was pregnant. The boy was saved and she had to take responsibility. After reading her mother’s diary, she went to the home of the intended parents and was met by a soldier, Aaron Callahan. He blew her off and threw her card back at her. His brother and sister-in-law were killed in a plane crash. He held the wake, sold their home, and went to Iraq for his tour of duty. A year later, when he came home, he and his father went through the couple’s safe and found incredible information, including a contract for the baby.

This author has written a beautiful love story. These main characters believed in and trusted God. They had connections through little Seth Aaron MacKenzie. The way Stahel presented this poignant story kept the grief minimal. This fast-paced book dealt with parental, as well as romantic, love. The relationships evolved into an emotional storyline. Secondary characters were minimal—except for Aaron’s ten-year-old son.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to everyone. This sweet story will give readers a calming, peaceful feeling. I applaud Ms. Stahel on her presentation of a delightful book. Kudos to you!
