Just like the star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, things really sizzle when Rory sets eyes again on the lovely blonde Mariah at a party. Eight years have passed since he allowed his father to rule her out of his life, but can he convince her that things have really changed and he is not still firmly under his father's thumb?

While loving every moment of Rory's passion, romance is not the only thing on Mariah's mind. Struggling to save the family business, she also has to deal with her father's illness and a fatal industrial accident at the soon to be completed Grant Plaza that kills her best friend. Was it really an accident or was she the intended victim?

Realistically set in an "old boy network" of major construction developments, Mariah and Rory's characters develop strongly to handle the adversities that others throw them, from the manipulations of a senator's daughter to industrial spies. But, is it enough? Just like a roller coaster, the story moves from the expected and ordinary but quickly has a lot of twists and turns that keep you wanting to hang on to every page to see how things work out. Get ready for a suspenseful ride when you read this steamy romance to find out!
