| Betsy McGee routinely orders Chinese takeout for dinner every Friday night after work. Her regular delivery boy, Charlie, is suddenly missing. Betsy believes there's trouble. All the neighbors have noticed a lot of people work for the Changs, the owners of the neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Roarke hears about people being smuggled over the border - from all over Asia. These people are supposedly being sold into slavery and they are lured across the border by a promised job at a local restaurant in Buffalo. Betsy calls Roarke. They talk on the phone and Betsy tells him about her missing delivery boy, Charlie. She also tells him about the neighbors' concerns about what's going on at the restaurant. Roarke thinks it's worth investigating. The connection between Betsy and Roarke continues to sizzle. Can they work together again and try and find Charlie as well as what's going on at the Changs' restaurant?
The pairing of Betsy and Roarke continues to be very entertaining reading. Roarke finds himself very drawn to Betsy's spirit and sensuality. Roarke also continues to tell Betsy what to do which she usually ignores. It keeps things lively as the story progresses. This story continues in Book IV - Planes, Trains & Betsy. This is a six book series by Ms. Stilletto. I recommend it to everyone.
