Harley is a career woman in the high-stress life of computer chip manufacturing. She may not know how they work, but she knows it is her job to make sure they do work. Her love life is non-existent, she has inherited her paranoid ex-husband's teenage son and now she has a mystery to solve.

Harley's division at Sil-Trak must get their numbers in order. The company is auditing each department to make sure all the numbers add up, and that the manufacturing process is improving; but also to find out about the inner workings of each division. Harley cannot afford to get a bad review. So when the guy in charge of getting the numbers turns up missing, kidnapped and later dead Harley is cast into a mystery that may cost her life. In the company's effort to crunch her numbers, her crew is dying and no one knows who is next.

Together with Detective Green, Harley can solve this mystery, but only if she tells what she knows - and that could kill her.

Ms. Sachitano wrote a true mystery. The mystery was tight, the tension was high and the ending was truly a shock. The only true issue that made the complex story hard to follow was the in-depth information on the manufacturing of the chips - this tended to slow the story down to almost a crawl. Then the action began to take over and the story became high tension yet again. The secondary characters were diverse and very interesting! This was a good story and an entertaining read.
