| Going away for Christmas with her boyfriend was a dream come true for Ouida. Patrick was sweet, shy, and charming, and he wanted her. But just remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Patrick and his brothers wanted her as bait, for them. Their idea of fun was to dress Ouida in rabbit furs and chase her through the woods, and then share her until she gave out. They didn’t count on Vance, a wolf shifter, to come to her rescue.
A very short story, but entertaining and humorous too. Ouida is too sweet and nice for Patrick, and learns just what she is capable of when she has to run for her life. She turns out to be a strong heroine, but Vance, her wolf rescuer, steals the show (and Ouida) with his strong dominant personality. He scents Ouida, and immediately starts thinking of her as his mate. There’s not much time for much sexual tension to build up, but believe me, the sex scenes are very hot! A very unexpected surprise near the end of the story endears readers to Ouida and Vance even more than normal and you’ll just have to read the book to find out about the surprise Ms. Anthony has in store for you.
