| Luther Harrington is a staid banker by day and a wolf shifter by blood. Afraid that his true passions would be too much for his lady, and scare her away from one day becoming his mate, Luther keeps his beast under control and out of the bedroom when he entertains his fragile lady love. Knowing he wants her in his life, he plans for a romantic Christmas proposal.
Chelsea Thompson loves Luther, but not their weekly dinner at a fancy hotel followed by a round his uninspired lovemaking. She doesn't believe that their three-year relationship is going anywhere, neither in the bedroom nor towards the future she'd hoped for. Determined to get his attention once and for all, she decides a little playacting is in order. Chelsea's pretense of being a prostitute is totally transparent to her lover, but he's willing to play along to see just how far his charming lady is willing to go. This novella, set in Regency-era Indianapolis, is more sex than plot, but that's what many people want in a fast read. Chelsea's character constantly teeters between being angry with her lover for accepting the favors of prostitute and the joys of a sexy romp with the man she loves. The sex scenes are quite sensual, with minor bondage, but still tastefully written. A Christmas Interlude will leave you wanting a wolf of your own.
