Colin Zachary, on a cold and snowy December night, wakes up to find himself wet and buck naked inside a church. Harry Gill, his savior from that freezing situation, finds himself inexplicably attracted to his accidental charge. As does Harry’s partner, Morgan O’Hanlon. Even though the two lovers make their intent to have Colin any way they can perfectly clear, he is still hesitant to surrender his body and heart to these two Irish gods. Still, while various problems threaten to ruin their Merry Christmas, these three simply can’t resist the attraction that might irrevocably push them together.

This story is filled with potential. The plot is pretty interesting, the visible dynamics between the characters is real and engaging, and all the issues they face this Christmas day are very convincing. However, I was disappointed at the lack of development in this short story. First of all, it moved too fast, thus making the transition these three men go through, from simply fooling around to falling in love, very confusing. Second, I thought the overall tension a story such as this could offer was missing. Colin, Harry, and Morgan are very complex characters, who jump out of the page with their emotions, and the fire between the three proves that. But, outside their relationship, they are nothing impressive -- just flat characters needing to evolve. Once that is done, and the pace is more moderate, with more effective transitions and better development, this story will be worth reading.
