| The Appalachian Pack needs an accountant and none of the members or their mates qualify. The most promising applicant is Delilah, the best friend of the beta’s mate Chloe. Her acceptance into the Pack is assured as she is the destined mate of the Pack Enforcer Abel and his twin Cain, a newly retired Hunter. Things get complicated when a rogue werewolf with a hatred for twins nearly kills a pack member and it is unknown where his twin is. Add to that the twins’ three parents and two siblings arriving for the holidays is almost too much for an orphaned loner with the ability to communicate with animals to handle.
I just love this series and this one is one of the best of the bunch. Cain and Abel (love those names) are everything an alpha hero should be times two. Delilah has always felt like a freak because she could communicate with animals and what better place for her to live than with a pack of werewolves. The ménage is handled tastefully and with a little humor at times, along with some very hot love scenes. It was good to see all the members of the Appalachian and Alabama packs and their mates again, makes me want to reread the first four stories. The only part that bothered me was the rogue werewolf; I loved the animal rescuers but would have liked a little more info about the bad guy and why he hated the twin weres. Other than that there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this story except that it had to end.
