Holly's Christmas isn't going too well. For one, it's also her birthday but no one ever remembers that. For another, she's alone. But that's because her boyfriend broke up with her. So she gets a little drunk and wakes up when she hears someone coming down her chimney. And since Santa doesn't exist, that means she's going to have to brain a burglar.

Erik Claus did not want to take his father's place as Santa this year. He manages the toy factory, he does not dress up in that awful suit with that awful fake beard to deliver presents to whiny children. But since his father is acting like those whiny children and refusing to go himself, instead of the Viking he is, Erik will just have to take his place. And the last gift he is to deliver goes to Holly Emerson. Only, when he slides down the chimney, he finds that Holly isn't a little girl. That business Barbie is about thirty years too late.

Holly may not be having a good Christmas, but things just might turn around for the better with the sexy Viking that she just brained. And when Erik wakes up, she's secretly thrilled that he demands a full day of sexual favors as recompense.

All I Want for Christmas is...A Viking? had a lovely humorous tone to the entire story. Erik was very sexy, very dominating, and probably one of the most masculine heroes I've seen. Everything he did was ultimately meant to enhance his pleasure. I was surprised to find that this story was a little kinkier than I'd expected. Only the bondage and an oral sex scene were outright, but there was a very strong feel of Holly being a submissive in all of their encounters. It wasn't a bad thing, just unexpected. However, due to the amount of sex in regard to the length of the story, I was disappointed. The sex took up almost all of the interaction between Holly and Erik, leaving my with little reason to see why they'd want to continue their relationship, unless it was for sex. At one point, Erik admitted to himself that he'd never felt the way he did about Holly, yet I didn't see why. And despite the fact that Holly felt like a fleshed-out character, I didn't really get to know her, or Erik. However, the writing was very smooth, and the pace of the story steady. The only time I can say I got bored was after one too many sexy scenes. But, I mostly enjoyed reading All I Want for Christmas is...A Viking. The tone made it very enjoyable, and because of that, I'll be reading a book from Ms. O'Connor again.
