In the not so distant future, Earth is attacked by aliens known as the Scourge. Days into the conflict, Earth is saved by another race of aliens known as the Kindred. The Kindred are genetic traders with a high male to female ratio in their population. Earth's price for being saved by the Kindred is to allow them to claim female earthlings as their brides. Olivia Waterhouse has just been drafted as a Kindred bride and she's not happy about being claimed.

Olivia is just about to embark upon her life as a nurse. She's a recent graduate and looking forward to being able to help the ill. Being drafted as a Kindred bride and being forced to live in orbit above the Earth means not only that she has to give up a career that she loves, but her twin sister Sophia and her friends. She's going to do everything in her power to resist her Kindred mate. Let the real battle begin.

Every woman needs a Kindred male. Because females are rare in the Kindred race, Kindred males revere and worship them. Baird is a strong warrior who has seen a lot during war. Yet, he is so gentle, loving and incredibly patient where Olivia is concerned. She's fighting him and the claiming period at every turn. But as a true alpha male, he's not deterred. He just regroups and increases his efforts to win over his woman.

Olivia and Baird were literally made for each other. Where he's hard she's soft. Where she's stubborn and willful, he's surprisingly calm and patient. It takes a while for Olivia to distinguish her feelings and the impetus for what she feels. I can't explain this statement without giving away part of the plot but Baird and Olivia do get their HEA.

Must read again and again! That's all that needs to be said about Evangeline Anderson's Claimed. It's now my favorite book by Ms. Anderson and I'm eagerly awaiting the second installment in the Brides of Kindred series. It has everything that I've come to expect from Ms. Anderson – scorching hhot sex, an Alpha male's alpha male and strong, yet willful, heroine. I highly recommend everyone pick up this book.
