| Summer Kelly has been determined to battle death since she was a young teenager, now as a trauma nurse she battles to save patients everyday. But Summer has no idea that death has fallen in love with her and knows that Summer¢s time may be coming sooner than she thinks. In Summer¢s dreams death is the perfect lover that she craves to be with but to be with him she has to die, will she make that choice?
This is a very unusual story. Death is a person that isn¢t scary or mean but someone whose job it is to escort a soul to where it should go after they die. He doesn¢t cause their death or make the life or death decision. Summer has been in love with her dream lover for a year but has no idea who or what he is. When she meets him she doesn¢t know what to think but the attraction is just as strong in person as it is in her dreams. But how can they ever be together; her job is to save lives and his is to deal with the soul as they die. Mano is immortal and not human and Summer is just a very caring human. I found myself fascinated by this story¢s view of death as a person. It is very thought provoking and if it was believable, it could even be comforting. And surprisingly enough, this story isn¢t sad or depressing; it is uplifting. If you want a really unusual story to tweak your imagination, read The Coldest Kiss.
