Gabrielle is such an interesting character. To be faced with the things that Gabrielle faces, she shows just how strong and adaptable a woman can be. She puts herself in danger to help save the ones she loves. She accepts things that normally would not be acceptable. She shows her amazing amounts of strength, without ever becoming hard and losing what makes her so desirable. Davin and the other characters build up such an intense story. It is very hard to stop reading. The characters interact, and clash, so well. This story contains wonderful action the whole way through. And the sex, wow! And not just between the two main characters! The story manages to pull you in and keep you wondering what is around the next corner. Guardian's Realm: The Combat tells a different tale of vampires and gargoyles. One that I have never heard before. One that I look forward to seeing more of. After reading this book, I have to say this...I will never, ever look at a gargoyle the same way again!
