| Delphia Anna Johns was born into a home dirt poor yet proud. Her family was looked down upon and when she grew older and left, she promised never to return. Unfortunately a twist in the cards sends her back to the little town of Archville, West Virginia. She recalls the one young boy she fell in love and carved their initials on a tree. Boone Wilder was the best thing in her life at that time. He loved her as much as he loved to write stories. His parents were poor, too. When his father died, they were forced to leave and stay with his Aunt Amelia. Not long after, he lost his mother and was left alone with his aunt. As the years pass, all Boone thinks about is the quiet town he left and his lovely Delphia. In his upcoming years, and thanks to his aunt's tuition, Boone becomes an award winning author. The readers love his books. As a real estate broker, Delphia starts her own development company. She and Boone again meet in Archville. Delphia believes they should forget the past and think of the present. Sometimes the past has a way of still coming into their lives, as Boone and Delphia find a love that has traveled through the years to bring them home at last.
Coming Home is a story that really touches the heart and relates to a person in many ways. Delphia is like many girls who feel like they have wasted their childhood only to be reminded of a life they could have had. Even Boone goes through life regretting the way his life led to losing his mother and father. Still their chance meeting again brings light to them making them realize there are more opportunities to learn. Cissy Hassell pens a tale that brings on emotions in this in-depth story that spins through the years. She sketches characters that are hard to release once the story is ended in this lovely read.
