| The men of the Second Fleet are the sole survivors when the Lask Prein destroys their world. Tangus is the Commander of this band of men and is determined to see that the Seti survive. When he sees the golden skinned woman he purchases her to be the first breeder to help save his species. He quickly realizes that she cannot remember her name or anything after the crash she survived, therefore, he calls her Asha. But the more he samples her, the more he finds he does not want to share.
Asha cannot believe all the horrible things that have happened to her, she was in a crash, lost her memory, held against her will and then sold. She is quickly falling in love with her new master and his dominant ways. But what will happen when she finds out his plans for her is not to be with just him? K. S. Augustin has written such a great story, it kept me anxiously turning the pages to find out what would happen to Asha next and would Tangus really be able to turn her over to his men? The characters are so well written the reader will feel Asha’s pain, confusion and strength as well as Tangus’ strength, loyalty to his men, and his love. This is the second book I have read by this author and I have to say I look forward to reading many more.
