Tahlia Edwards understands that success and appearances do not always mean everything in life, especially when she carries a dark secret she never wishes to be revealed. The brilliant advertising executive is about to find out that sometimes secrets do not always stay buried when someone sends a private investigator to unlock her past. Always one to be independent, the top executive believes the detective should high-tail it and leave her alone. Jake Randall, Private Investigator not only carries a certain charm but Tahlia finds him incredibly handsome. Unfortunately when he connects with Tahlia, his life suddenly changes. He will pull all the stops to uncover this secret that involved the murder of her father. It has been ten years, why bring the past up now? Tahlia is determined to see who sent him and why now? As the two work together to unlock many secrets, bodies begin to mount and when the secret reveals more than Tahlia suspects; will she be able to get out of a nasty situation when she and Jake have begun to find love with each other?

The Confession is a breathtaking story with a touch of mystery and mayhem that has the reader guessing until the last page. The innocent victims, as well as the suspected killers, take the reader on a challenging quest as they roll along with Tahlia unlocking the identity of who is having her investigated while trying to unfold a ten-year-old mystery. The strength of Tahlia makes her a force to be reckoned with throughout the story and I loved her independent personality. She and Jake share some great conversation and soothing sex appeal that ignites the pages. Ms. Bingley pens a wonderful read with a great plot, well-rounded characters and some spine tingling excitement as Jake and Tahlia explore the buried events. She crafts a splendid suspense that one should be sure to read way before the lights go out at night. The creative author of mystery has again blended a noteworthy read that is a keeper!
