Lady Elspeth can't believe the gall of the man who enters her home and completely takes over without a care. He makes demands and expects them to be followed without a question, but Elspeth has never been one to back down from a challenge and if Lord Arnaud thinks she is going to back down then he's wrong. Elspeth plans to show him that she will not cower before him like everyone else in fear. Will she soon find her feelings changing for him to something more, even though they are enemies? This is a historical novel and for those who love them then this is one for you to read. The details are great and the plot is excellent. Lord Arnaud is arrogant and sexy and everything you would expect in a historical lord of the land. Lady Elspeth is strong willed and determined to show Lord Arnaud who is boss and she is certainly the kind of heroine you can get excited about. Goldie McBride has done an excellent job of creating a historical story that will keep the reader turning the pages.
