Nina Randall, a thirty-something advertising executive, had scoped out the perfect place for a commercial for Juniper Soda. Her career depended upon this shoot being spectacular. She had worked her way from intern to promotion-ready for VP. Someone was trying to sabotage her career and she was fed up. She booked a room at The Crooked C Ranch and went early. She needed to find an exceptional cowboy to temporarily take her mind off all her problems. Nina decided, when she met that fine specimen she was seeking, to not tell him she was in charge of the production crew.

Jon Carver was furious that there was going to be an advertisement shot on the ranch owned by him and his brother Josh. Jon was a busy executive who had taken time off to help his brother get the ranch out of debt. No matter how he looked or dressed, he was not a cowboy. Then he met the city woman who would never fit into the ranch scene. Why couldn’t he get her out of his mind? She was trouble and he knew she kept a secret.

Ms. Shari Thayn has written a great story with dynamic characters. Her vision for this book was well developed. She introduced her two main characters in an entertaining way. The book was a hit from the first page. There was no way to anticipate all the fiascos which would happen. The myriad of supporting cast members made the story non-stop action. The attention-grabbing exploits made this a page-turner.

With this number of characters, it would have been easy to get confused. I assure you that did not happen. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline including the subtle surprises. The ending was great. The sensuality of the story was impressive, but not overly dominant. It was realistic and definitely not a cookie-cutter book.

I recommend that you read this book if you like not only a romance, but a well-written book with likable people. This was my first Thayn book but it will not be my last. You will not be disappointed, I guarantee.
