| K.C. had slowly started rebuilding her life; for the two years since her husband, Harrison, had been dead, she’d been starting her catering business and reconstructing her self esteem. He always made her feel less than nothing. Sex had been nonexistent. But now, the mother of two teens, at age 40, was having sensual dreams about her 30-year-old neighbor, Charlie, who owned his own computer consulting firm.
K.C. had met Charlie six months ago and she enjoyed (as did he) trying out her recipes on him. She valued his opinion on her food, but had trouble meeting his eyes after she started having these dreams! When he asked her to cater his upcoming business party, she quickly learned that he was interested in more than her cooking. Ms. Kelsey Lewis is a new author to me, but I would certainly read other of her works when possible. She has a unique ability to tell the story, with all its struggles, in an up-beat manner which keeps the reader spellbound. I could not put this book down. I read it through in one sitting! It was an incredible read and one which would appeal to many readers. Cooking with K.C. is a beautiful story of second chances with a variation on the “age” theme. I am pleased to recommend this book; you will definitely have a pleasurable time!
