| Emma has come to her parents' home in the Mediterranean to recuperate from a nasty divorce. It seems everywhere she looks there are people with smiles on their face after swimming in the pool. When they've all gone home she decides to take a swim and finds the pleasure to be unbelievable. In shock she watches as the water takes the shape of a man who tells her he loves her.
Marie Treanor weaves an interesting fantasy that seems to be just what the doctor may have ordered for curing the blues. A reader will have to smile as the soothing water becomes a sexual encounter. This takes the joy of swimming a step beyond relaxation. The plight of the watery being seems to erase Emma's disgust with the male gender as they join forces to find a way to take him to his home. This is one of those books that's just pure fun to read. The characterizations and dialogue between the two are sweet and romantic, something Emma hasn't had in a long time. Ms. Treanor definitely shows her craftsmanship and a sense of humor in making this a great pick-me-up for a day when the reader may be feeling blue or just wants a really sweet story.
