| Little Pearl is worried when her Master Tan Kui Yu and his wife, The Tigress are abducted. Following the orders of her Master, Little Pearl hides a list for safekeeping. Su Juan Lie first shows up looking for the list and Little Pearl suffers greatly for not revealing where it is. Her savior comes in the form of Captain Jonas Storm. Jonas senses something is amiss when he discovers his friend and business partner and his wife are missing. Jonas knows Little Pearl isn't telling him everything and even though he works with her Master she doesn't trust him. His original intention is to get Little Pearl to reveal the hidden list, but soon he is bothered by the growing attraction he feels towards her. When Little Pearl tries to comfort Jonas, he can't help but compare her to his own mother who was a prostitute. When Su Juan Lie appears again threatening both their lives, Jonas knows both he and Little Pearl must work together to triumph over the enemy. Only by working together can Jonas and Little Pearl become a solid fortress against their foes. Jonas and Little Pearl reach new passionate heights through the powerful rituals of the Tigress in their efforts to stop the dark cloud around them. Can they fight hard enough and live to have a future together? Will Su Juan Lie be stopped and Little Pearl's Master and his wife be found before it's too late?
This is a wonderful novel! The description of the settings, people and erotic love scenes makes one feel like they are really there. Ms. Lee does a wonderful job bringing these characters to life and enriching their experiences so the reader is left on the edge of their seat. It keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next. The dialogue between Little Pearl and Jonas is well written and the use of the mind/body connection with the these characters adds to the erotic elements of the story.. This is the fifth book in this series, but could be easily read alone. It's one you don't want to end. I look forward to reading any future novels in this series.
