This collection of Christmas stories is a great way to get into the spirit of the season. This historical look at Christmas from the eyes of the ton is a diverse way of facing conflict and love during the holidays. These four short stories are uniquely different yet all center on the Christmas season and how love will find a way to flourish no matter the circumstances.

“Christmas Surprise” by Cynthia Moore is about a turquoise pendant given to a newly married woman who wore it in spite of her circumstances. “A Tradition of Love” by Carolynn Carey told us about a woman who had been married three weeks but totally ignored by her new husband. “Christmas Mishaps” by Amy Corwin told about a woman who was scorned by her fiancé who chose to elope with her younger sister. And, finally, “Country House Christmas” by Barbara Miller touched on the subject of a younger man and the woman who felt she was too old for him.

These authors did a great job of introducing their plots and their characters within the story to endear them to our hearts. All four of these authors used their main characters to grab the attention of this reader and keep my attention throughout the story. The couples who were either in love, married, or in love with each other, were so believable it was as if I was watching their lives expand through a multi-colored scenario.

The supporting cast members were written in such a manner that the couples were great together and managed to defy the odds and find their happily-ever-after. The stories were different from each other to hold the interest of their readers. However, they all had one thing in common. Situations were such that all the couples would strive to captivate the hearts of the other and rush toward the ecstasy which created the greatest storylines of all.

I recommend this book for all. These love stories were quite sensual but not graphic. This book will be great for any readers.
