Drug counselor Shelly Williams has made some bad decisions and it seems she has also stepped on some very powerful toes, making a dangerous enemy in Governor Powell Huxley. How was she to know that he would be so adamant in refusing to accept his daughter's drug addiction? Broke, paying off lawsuits and having lost her professional credibility, she seeks refuge with an old college roommate. She doesn't need any more complications and accidentally observing a drug buy instigated by her new attractive landlord's teenage son, Greg, is not a good start. Shelly has found a man who makes her quiver with excitement, a new love she may lose. What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.
