| Vasile had lost track of Nina over two years ago, and had been in a terrible temper ever since. When she walks through his door for an interview, he can't believe his eyes. She doesn't know him though, because he'd only come to her as a fantasy lover. He's a vampire, and now that he's found her again, he's not sure he can ever let her go.
Nina has had a hard life. Raped when she was young, the only thing that kept her sane was the dream lover she had until two years ago. She had decided to go away to find out if her life the way it was could be enough, and on the way back got into a terrible accident that has affected her health and her memory. She's decided to get on with her life, and this new job is a good start. Hopefully they won't find out just how short her time there will be… Vasile and Nina had a lot of chemistry going on in this book. I thought it was intriguing that she could have a lover that she didn't think was real but still remain faithful to him all those years. Vasile starts out as a selfish, self centered character that really doesn't understand his impact on Nina's life. You get to see him grow as a person throughout the story and that is part of what makes this such a good read. Nina is smart and tough, trying to make it in the business world. This is a wonderful story that I truly enjoyed reading; I will be on the lookout for more from JJ Massa in the future.
