Jenny Lee has driven into the English countryside looking for her big break by interviewing the wildly popular Billy Dreamsinger, the current idol and bad boy of modern culture, but fate gets in her way. Her car breaks down and she finds herself unable to resist the charm of Rob Castle an English farmer who thinks Jenny is the sexiest thing to ever come his way.

The two waste no time in jumping into bed together and though their lust is temporarily assuaged, their attraction isn't. Rob can't understand the urgency of Jenny's interview and to make it as a reporter. He wants her to stay with him but Jenny is determined to do things her way. She can't ignore her attraction to Rob, but they have only just met and it seems too good to be true. Plus Jenny has a job to do and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make it big.

Despite Billy Dreamsinger having a bad reputation and an assault charge pending, Jenny interviews him alone and finds he is everything the world believes and worse. Has she given up the love of her life for a chance at success? And will her stubborn nature wind up getting her raped by a felon who thinks himself above the law by his fame?

Jenny must use her wits to escape a situation she never imagined could happen to her. When she is at the worse crossroads of her life, there is only one person to call. Will Rob be there for her and make everything all right again?

Country Pleasures is a short read that brings warmth to the reader over the relationship between Rob and Jenny. They mesh well together and the sexiest parts were the day to day chores and mundane daily routines they share. The sex isn't all that sensual or erotic and I found curiously the less explicit scenes the more sensual and fulfilling. For a quick romantic read I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this story. For eroticism and sensuality it isn't quite the thing and the ending was abrupt without complete resolution if Dreamsinger gets his comeuppance in court. However the romantic elements were well written and warm-hearted, making Rob and Jenny nicely rounded characters to even out the story.
