| Two people form an investigating team and seem to have it all together, but what they find out is that what they want most is each other.
TJ makes up the Coventry half of her investigative team and they are honestly good at what they do. They are quickly earning a reputation and moving up in the world. TJ has one thorn on her rose bush of life and that’s her partner Rand. She has seen him with more women than she can count and there seems to be no end in sight. Always the level headed one, TJ decides it’s time to let off some tension and what’s good for the goose can be just as good for the gander. Rand McIntyre goes through women like he changes his socks. Being half werewolf it’s just in his nature to have a high sexual drive. He has wanted TJ since he met her, but because of her protective brothers considered her off limits. The tables turn when TJ decides to get a sex life and starts heating up the sheets with various men. Now Rand is not just going to stand back and watch the woman he loves fall into bed with other men. Rand sets out to give her all the passion she can stand, from him. I really had mixed emotions about this story. On one hand I didn’t agree with the fact that Rand was a complete horn dog and threw women around like tissues. Even more disturbing is the fact that TJ thinks that the best way to get at Rand is by sleeping with other men. This goes on for a while before they both wake up and realize that they should just be with each other. The merry go around of emotions got tiring and the constant one-upmanship just nerve racking. Towards the end of the story it did pick up and the relationship between Rand and TJ got much better. The love scenes are frequent and in line with the plot. I am a fan of Lisa Andel’s writing and have read several of her books that I thoroughly enjoyed. This story may appeal to some readers, but was not one of my favorites.
