| Mercy Lawrence has escaped small town life to try and find a new start. She’s vacationing in San Antonio in order to ask her uncle for a loan to start her own business. Mercy is sexually frustrated and is looking for a hot man to fulfill her sexual fantasies. She meets Spence, who calls himself Sinner. She’s more than ready to jump his bones. Sinner leads a simple life as a rancher, but he’s determined to clear his name and avenge his dead friend. Mercy finds herself caught in the middle. Can Sinner prove his innocence and managed to keep Mercy?
In this interesting tale of love, betrayal, friendship and family, friend and family relationships are severely tested. The book is full of attention-grabbing characters. There’s not a dull person in the bunch. What I did find to be somewhat less than exciting was the pace of the story. There were several places that I felt the story slowed down and I struggled to stay focused on what was going on. The plot of the story seemed to be dragged out and overrun at points by sex. Don’t get me wrong, the sex scenes were very enjoyable. The sexual chemistry between Mercy and Spence is smoking hot from the first time they meet until the very end of the story. The support characters and the subplot of this book are notable. I hope that one day Mercy’s friend Cindy will get to have her own story told. If you are looking for a book that has stretched the plot out and is full of smoking hot sex between a dark and dangerous rancher and a mysterious woman, this is one book you will want to read. If you are looking for a book with a swift plot, have patience with this one and you will enjoy the read.
