Abby Williams was about to do something she hadn't done in the four years she had started working in Denver. She was going on a two weeks vacation. It was all arranged by her boss who didn't believe that all work and no time off was good for anyone. He arranged for her to spend the next two weeks at Star Mountain Ranch where a friend of his worked.

Of course it wasn't planned that there would be a snow storm or that Abby's first meeting with the handsome Cade McPherson would be him helping her after she plowed her car into a snow pile. But stranger things have happened.

Somehow this city gal was nothing like what Cade had expected. Cade didn't trust women except for Chuck's wife Sherry and their daughter Katie. They were something special. Seems Cade had fallen in love once before and the gal took him for everything he had and left him mistrustful of women from that point on. Yet Abby she wasn't like that. She really was genuine and helping and even Sherry saw the change she had made in Cade and it made her happy. Cade was like a son to her and she was glad he finally found a lady who would treat him right.

With her two weeks almost at an end Abby couldn't bear to leave. The mountains had become part of her and she was beginning to think that it wouldn't be so bad to live there as long as she had Cade with her.

This is not just a cute story of a city gal who goes to the mountains and finds her love. It's the story of two young people who meet in a snow storm and find that their individual hurts slowly melt away so that trust and love may replace them. I like Abby, she's a strong character but one can't help but think that though she only has a small part in the story. Sherry is the real heroine here. She has Chuck and they are happy but she sees that same look in the eyes of Abby and Cade and knows that they too will find that love she has. It's a cute story and one that readers will enjoy.
