I couldn’t wait to read this book! Beth Sampson, the baby girl of the Sampson part of The Double B Ranch, worked hard to complete her education in veterinary medicine and return home to her one true love, Tyler, the youngest Weston boy. When she got back home two years ago, she found her brand new clinic and home built, but Tyler had disappeared. No one knew where he had gone. Not only had he disappeared, he had left without his fiancée, Beth. It took her months to get over his desertion. She finally hired a partner (who lived in her Tyler-built home) and tried to re-start her life. Heartbroken, she had no desire to face the love-of-her-life again.

And then Tyler returned, determined to win Beth back. She was the only woman he had ever loved and he didn’t intend to take no for an answer. He was not, however, prepared for the way both families rallied around Beth and ignored his needs. Tyler had felt smothered living under the tutelage of his three older brothers. His only regret was that Beth had not joined him.

Roni Adams has written a top-notched sequence in her Sweet Meadow, Texas saga about the families in The Double B Ranch. In this book, she introduced even more characters into the series. This can only enhance the upcoming offerings to this series. I am so anxious to read the others. I love her ability to write about her characters and the way she has of expressing herself through her characters.

The upcoming offerings can only add to the excitement of the series. She has a fabulous gift of words and presents her myriad of characters in such a way that there is no confusion. The poignancy of this book is not overshadowed by the workings of the ranch and the cowboys/cowgirls who live and work there. These two younger members of the families of The Double B are highlighted by the love and affection shown by their siblings.

I highly recommend this book as a wonderful sequel. It is not to be missed!
