| This had been a bad day! Holly Taylor, aged 40, felt she deserved to get drunk and forget the horrifying news she had received. Sitting at The Livingston Palace Bar in Denver, she was seriously contemplating how she would get through the remainder of this day when an “opportunity” walked up, ordered a Scotch, neat, and a ‘refill for the lady.’ This cowboy, who was 29 years old, was the perfect ending to help her survive her devastating news. She slipped away early the next morning and continued her life.
Six months later, sitting in an art class, the nude male model was her cowboy. He had been searching for her for months. What followed was a sensual look into the relationship commonly known for its older women, younger men scenarios. This author dealt with the underlying issues which occur in this type connection. Holly and Jack (she finally learned his name) were well developed, likeable people. It was impossible not to love them. This book sizzled. The chemistry with this couple was explosive. It definitely is not for the faint of heart. There is a high volume of sexuality and it is very graphic. Often when that is the case, there is no storyline and the plot is underdeveloped. That was definitely not the case here. The book was highly emotional. This is not my first Helen Hardt book and it will certainly not be my last. I like her writing style and enjoy reading her action packed novels. This one is completely opposite her previous books I’ve read. This just shows her versatility. She will become a must-read and a name you will search for time and again. I recommend this book to anyone over the age of 18. It’s explosive but also a great read.
