| Sarah Collins did not have time for this—her life and family—well, her father and her fiancé, were in New York and when she pulled up in the drive of that decrepit old house, her two nephews (she had only seen twice in their entire lives) were not happy to see her. She should have just signed the papers and allowed their uncle, former Casanova Raif Manning, to take permanent custody of the three children. Obviously he didn’t want her here or he would never have taught the boys to refer to her as the ‘wicked witch.’
Sarah’s sister and Raif’s brother, after being married and producing the three children now in the spotlight, had been killed; joint custody was awarded to Sarah and Raif. Sarah had a wedding to plan and wanted to assure herself that Raif was going to take care of the kids. That was before she drove up and saw this dump they were living in! What happened in this fast-paced novel established a good plot and an interesting story. Ms. Kelly Wallace created the situation of parents’ deaths and joint custody which made for a unique story line. The supporting cast members were not as much involved, however, their parts in the manuscript created essential background information. Ms. Wallace showed a chemical explosion between the main characters and it just got better the further I read. The story flowed well and was skillfully written; I recommend it to anyone who likes contemporary romance with flair!
