For nine years Aleta Cortes has run the ancient mating race of her tribe, the Cria, without letting anyone catch her. She wants to make it ten in a row so that she can escape from a tribe that seems unable to break into the real world she wants to explore. Luiz, the man who loved her and left her has other plans for her.

Suzanne Rock writes an erotic tale of shape shifting felines whose problems mirror those of many people through the ages. Male chauvinism, family expectations, battles for supremacy, all intermingle with an erotic love story powered by hormones. Sound familiar? Ms. Rock has her own unique way to put a spin on this that will have the reader rooting for the heroine. There's more action in and out of the bedroom than there is dialogue but the dialogue is important in making the characters someone we can relate to. This is one of those tales that ended much too soon. A sequel that gives us more about how the tribes work things out, or don't, would be nice.
