The year is 1191, Drago stands in the middle of mass horror, feels the anguish of futile senseless slaughter, both man and animal. After slaying a sudden apparition, its partner is suddenly before him, inhuman beings like nothing he'd ever seen. Present day, in France; Khalid informs Drago that he senses Her coming; the one woman they've waited the last 800 years to finally sense. Drago has spent many of the intervening years hibernating, with little interest in the passing time--abstinence to all intents and purposes. Coming out periodically to indulge in sex supplied by Khalid and the various evenings entertainment he brings home, keeps Drago with at least a bit of interaction with mankind. Thank goodness that Khalid didn't entirely succeed--thank goodness Drago could handle what needed to be done. Split second timing can definitely make a difference, and Khalid didn't realize the weaker aren't always less strong. And no, I'm not going to give anymore away. A Must Have for any dedicated vampire fans!
