| Heather Kincaid's first encounter with the beast is when her date almost hits him. She knows there is something different about the man she finds hurt in the woods, after eating a deer, the man recovers as if nothing is wrong. He pays Heather a visit later that night and tries to convince her it is all a dream, but she remembers everything. Six years later after the death of her mother, she returns to the town and the man who has haunted her dreams and thoughts. It's not long before he appears and states he wants her, but Heather has her doubts, then she starts to get warnings to stay away from him and she can't understand why.
Devin is a folk singer who leads another life and has dreamed of Heather for six years, now that she has finally come back he will move heaven and earth to make her stay. He fears of what she will think when she finds out what he really is and does not want to drive away the very woman he needs to survive. Together they must overcome the obstacle of his past and what their future may be and find out if love is enough to create a future. I liked the plot of this book, even though the story does seem to drag a bit. Don't expect a lot of sex in this book because there is very little. The focus is on the relationship and tension of the couple and the obstacles they face together. A vampire story with real drama, Crimson Dreams is sure to please most paranormal and vampire readers.
