| A vampire named Richie is the only straight member of a drag band called
The Elixir Maidens. When performing on stage, Crimson (Richie's stage
name) notices a young vampire named Sondra. Sondra has come to the club,
which is popular with vampires, with her Creator. He disapproves of gay
vampires and cross-dressing and leaves Sondra at the club, where she
hooks up with Richie/Crimson.
An amazingly love story, Crimson continues the series about the Elixir Maidens. Sondra is pulled emotionally between her Creator to whom she feels grateful and Richie, with whom she has fallen deeply in love. The characters' descriptions, primary and secondary are fully developed and make Crimson a stand alone book even though it is part of a series. Richie and Sondra are terrific together and their sexual encounters are explicit, erotic and graphic (and I LOVED them!). The story follows a tightly scripted plot with few deviations. There was a secondary premise involving the older vampires which ended surprisingly. I found this story to be a wonderful present to all who love vampires and love stories.
