Alec has lost the love of his life and vows never to love again; he never expected to find Tania. Fate has seen fit to bring his lost love back to him in reincarnation and Alec can't stay away from her. The worst happens when he has to save her from certain death, he takes her back to his house to take care of her. He hope this will be a time of healing as well as getting to know each other, but how will Tania react when she finds out what he really is and their past together?

Tania is a lawyer mostly working with women in abusive situations. She tries her best to help each and every one of her clients, but never expected to be involved so deeply her life would be at risk. Then is happens and she watches and an abusive husband attacks her and kills his wife and her client. When she wakes she is with Alec and can barely remember what happened. There is something different about Alec, but she doesn't know what it is. As they become closer she learns that Alec is not all he seems.

This book is definitely interesting and will certainly keep you reading. Be warned however that it is very long and comes in at over four hundred pages. I found myself not wanting to put it down, but having to. Alec is the tortured soul who has lost his love and thinks to never find it again, but he does in Tania. Tania is a spunky woman who plays protector to abused women and sometimes get caught in the middle, I love that she's willing to risk her life to help a woman get out of a bad situation. The book does go from present to past frequently and it can get a little confusing, just pay attention and it shouldn't be a problem. The love scenes don't come until the second half of the book, but they are hot and worth waiting for. I will be on the lookout for more of K.R. Wilson's work and can't wait to read the next book.
