| Cupid’s in trouble. Zeus’s son has fallen in love with
Daphne, a woman he can never have, and it is all
Cupid’s fault in CRITIC’S CHOICE. In order to appease
Mars, the god of war and his father, Cupid agrees to
make two mortals who hate one another fall in love.
The female in the scenario is Diana, a music critic who despises Elliot. He is a professional piano player that draws a huge female crowd and is known for dramatic playing. Elliot also hates Diana because she writes scathing reviews about his work. Whenever the two meet, it is instant battle. But things start to change when both have passionately erotic, but loving, dreams about one another. Then they keep running into one another. I did enjoy the novella by Erica DeQuaya. It married two things I love erotica and Greek myths. I do wish the writer had hinted at a possible underlying attraction between the two sooner to make the whole love thing more believable. But the writing is creative and the love scenes intense. A great addition to the popular Greek myth fiction!
