For centuries, magical beings have walked among us. Their battle between good and evil is constant, but one force battles to keep everyone in check. The Immortals. One of those immortals is Manannán mac Lir, a Celtic demigod. His life is one big party until a baby he is supposed to protect almost dies. Hunting for the attempted murderer, he finds Artemis Black, a contradictory woman who is able to weave life and death magic together. To protect his people, he should kill her, but he is drawn to her. What will happen to these two lovers once they make the crossing?

The next story in The Immortals series is not one to disappoint. It is an interesting story that is full of twists and turns that is sure to keep the reader on his or her toes. As the horrifying battle between good and evil, or in this case, life and death magic, wages on, we learn more about all of these magical creatures that inhibit the earth and the surrounding worlds. The different characters in this story are interesting and make our ordinary world a fascinating magical place. Mac and Artemis’s characters are stunning. A mother’s devotion makes Artemis interesting and entertaining and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Mac’s determination to protect his people and to figure out Artemis makes him a fascinating man. The length he is willing to go to shows his determination and strength of character. As Mac and Artemis travel alternate worlds and dimensions, the readers are taken on a wild ride to the worlds of the mystical celts, the different levels of hell and so on. And if that is not enough to keep the reader entertained, the sexual chemistry between Mac and Artemis is extremely strong.

If you enjoy stories full of otherworldly creatures, lots of sexual chemistry, interesting landscapes and loads of interesting characters, this is a book you should read
