| Christy Forrest lost her father to a drunk driver. The woman who should have stopped the man from driving did nothing. Christy blamed her more than the driver. She was on an adventure planned before her father died. Her mom had backed out at the last minute, but Christy was determined to take the trip as a tribute to his memory. She had lost her peaceful existence because she blamed God for allowing her father to die. When she arrived in Mountain Cove, Colorado, for this enactment of the old western wagon train, she hoped she would find peace of mind.
Kenn Martin and his siblings ran Hearts Crossing Wagon Tours and it was his turn to lead the wagon train. It had been a long time since he had felt attracted to a woman—since his prior girlfriend, Daisy, had left with his worst enemy. Not only was he bitter about her defection, he was guilty because his younger brother should have been an Olympian but Kenn sold out to keep his teaching job. He had lost faith because he was so far short of the person he should have been. Ms. Tanya Hanson knows how to tell a story. She developed her characters in such a way that they were easy to like. Their depth and determination to follow their chosen paths made the main characters seem real. This book grabbed my attention quickly and never let go. I definitely didn’t want to put the book down. This sweet inspirational romance gave a look at moral and spiritual values without being overbearing. This book would appeal to any reader regardless of beliefs. The leading of the main characters and their interactions between the secondary individuals kept the storyline flowing well. I highly recommend this book to anyone. You definitely will be glad to have read it.
