| Welcome to Draven's Crossing, a picturesque town looking to become a vacation hot spot. However, Draven's Crossing isn't exactly Mayberry. The sheriff is a werewolf and the mayor is a vampire, in this town mortals and nightmares live side by side.
Rose Andrews' job is to hook the tourists and Draven, the town's likable mayor, isn't making it easy. Fighting her attraction to Draven while trying to come up with a publicity campaign may be more than she can handle. Oh yeah, did I mention the serial killer? Rose and Draven peak the readers interest from the beginning. The uncertainty that Rose feels lends a touch of realism to her character that is often missing from romance heroines. Her strength in standing toe to toe with Draven furnishes a believable balance in their relationship. Draven's determination is a match for Rose's stubbornness and the depth of his feelings ring true. Secondary characters are engaging and will hopefully be seen in coming books. Erotic sex scenes abound and are hot enough to make you turn on a fan. The subplot was tantalizing and by the end of the tale I was wanting more. This book is a good start to a promising series.
